HIGHLANDS

The Ecuadorian Andes are characterised by their impressive mountains, volcanoes and snow-capped peaks.    The most important are the Cotopaxi and Chimborazo.  Beautiful cities like Quito, Cuenca and craft centres like Otavalo are complemented by national parks with a rich and varied flora and fauna.

The mountains offer valleys with different heights and climates.
